Training programs
Pastor’s Program
To all pastors and full-time ministers who are in ministry
for at least 5 years (or 3 years if there is a Diploma of
Bible Education) we offer degree of Bachelor of Theology.
Program has two stages: first stage – a minister receives
materials to get ready for a test to gain Associate Degree,
preparation time is 6 months; after passing that test
minister will get materials to prepare for Bachelor Degree,
preparation time – 6 months.
Correspondence course
Time of study: 3 years.
At the beginning of every semester student receives a
package of materials, books and audio materials. During the
semester he does all necessary assignments and requirements,
and sends by mail written tests and essays on studied
material. At the end of each semester there is end-of-term
exam that allows moving up to next semester. At the end of
each year student has to appear for a final (yearly) test.

We live in constantly changing community. Every year around
the world, in various fields for achieving maximum success
people look for new methods with a help of which we
progress. Lifetime of successful organization is not
lasting, if that organization does not apply new methods
that are able to operate effectively in compliance with time
and circumstances we are in. Lord Jesus warned us to be “new
wineskins” and to be always ready to receive new wine,
because “No one pours new wine into old wineskins”. We can
only progress in any kind of activity, if we are ready for
changes.
Concept
International Institute of Theology “Zoe” by the
instrumentality of Covenant Life University is an
implementation of that idea. Main concept of our programs
and methods of their realization is spreading of traditional
college program in different churches and ministries in
Ukraine and around the world. Yearly we work at programs we
have to bring it to students in more accessible form.
Purpose
Our purpose is to equip pastors and ministry leaders with
all necessary to prepare God’s people with a help of vision
and specific character of local church leadership.
Traditional concept of Bible education is to send people to
different cities and churches for study. Then believers
always faced problems because of leaving their church, their
city, their family and friends. Staying in a strange city
and in a strange church believers naturally accept the
philosophy of teachers and pastors of that place where they
are. Nothing is bad about that. But very often after getting
back home they face the conflict of concepts and ideas
concerning vision of the church they came from. It’s much
better for a person to study at home, in his local church,
where pastors and their assistants are able to pass their
visions and methods through teaching God’s Word. That is why
our university works at helping, first of all, pastors and
their staff to raise the level of spiritual education.
Programs
For that purpose we offer specially designed Pastor’s
Program. Also we offer different forms of study that pastors
can use for their churches, particularly full-time/part-time
study (in terms). There is a special program of
correspondence study. If you are not able to arrange
learning process on basis of your church, then people from
your church willing to study can take correspondence course
(without leaving off their ministry and your local church).
Registration
International Institute of Theology “Zoe” is a part of
Covenant Life University in Fort Myers, Florida and is
registered as a member of Florida Council of Private
Colleges, Inc., and is also certified by Council of Private
Colleges of America, Inc.
In Ukraine we are registered as Spiritual Educational
Institution “University of Theology “Zoe” under Spiritual
management of Christians of Evangelic Faith “Ukrainian
Missionary Church””.

About Us
Dr David L Deaton
President of International University of Theology "Covenant
Life"
Dr David L Deaton is an apostle and founder of Life Church
and a President of Covenant Life University, Florida. For
years Dr David and Marilyn Deaton minister in different
nations of the world, carrying apostolic ministry and giving
spiritual support to pastors and leaders of God’s revival.
40 years of pastor’s experience at different levels in local
church gave them extensive knowledge in leadership and
management of a church. Dr David and Marilyn are married for
more than 40 years, have 2 children and 6 grandchildren.
Their elder son and his wife are now senior pastors of Life
Church.
Dr David Deaton focuses his ministry on missions, training
leaders and development of Bible education in countries like
the USA, Mexico, Guatemala, Peru, Belgium, Ukraine, Russia
and Israel. Dr David especially emphasizes the development
of schools and educational programs as a key enabler for
training pastors and leaders of those countries. For that
reason his ministry pays special attention to starting and
developing new branches of Covenant Life University.

Dr Bill Basansky (USA)
Founder of International
University of Theology "Zoe"
For five years Dr Bill taught at the world-known Oral
Roberts University in Talsa, Oklahoma, where his mission of
serving God started from in the USA, Canada and around the
world. At that university he obtained Master Degree,
University of Oklahoma, and Ph.D., Union University, Los
Angeles, California.
When the Iron Curtain fell and Dr Bill was able to come to
his native land, his heart was impelled by compassion
towards multitudes of needy people. Dr Bill took that
opportunity and entered that open door to bring humanitarian
aid and share about Jesus Christ with people of Ukraine.
Since 1991Dr Bill has made a significant contribution into
the development of ministries in Ukraine. Bill Basansky
Ministries changed lives of many people, bringing them to
God and arming them with a right understanding of spiritual
truths from Word of God. Numerous seminars and books on
topics that interest many Christians brought world fame to
Bill Basansky.
Bill Basansky is an international director of the charitable
organization "Child's Heart". Annually his ministry helps
the Cardiologic Center named after Amosov, supporting the
department of Pediatric Surgery. Dr Bill is on Board of
International Communication of Faith Ministers (ICFM) and
International Director of ICFM in Ukraine, Russia and
Israel.
Eugene Taits (Ukraine)
Academic Dean/Coordinator of the International University of
Theology
Eugene Taits turned to the Lord in 1992 in Kiev, when he was
a student of Institute of Physical Education.
In 1994 he graduated from “Word of Life” Bible School in
Tartu, Estonia and had a great desire to serve the Lord.
Since 1995 Eugene Taits has been working in the field of
Bible Education.
In 1997 he got the degree – Bachelor of Theology.
Since 2001 he is dean of the International University of
Theology “Zoe”. Having a rich experience in ministry, Eugene
makes a major contribution into the development of churches
and Bible educational institutions, having an impact on the
relationships between Churches, ministries and ministers by
bringing the message of unity, mutual assistance and
cooperation of believers in the Body of Christ. Having
teacher’s gift, Eugene contributes to the opening and
development of that gift in Church all around Ukraine and
Russia, coordinating the work of University branches.
Since 2002 he has been studying to get Master Degree at the
Spiritual Academy of Christian Leadership.
In 2006 radio «Emmanuel» started the very first broadcast of
the Theological University with the Dean. Today the
University of Theology “Zoe” has already 2 weekly broadcasts
– “Symphony” and “Ruth”.
Later on Eugene Taits’ ministry extended to television.
Since February 2007 first TV broadcast “Go ye and teach”
started on CNL, Eugene is the author and the host of it.
Since 2008 Eugene Taits has been arranging the Pilgrim Tours
to Israel. Lord put love to the Holy Land deeply in Eugene’s
heart that is why the purpose of every trip is for believers
to touch the reality of what is written in the Bible. After
their tour people can take the sense words they are in
Scriptures in a special way.
Not so long ago Lord also opened new doors for Eugene Taits
in other countries. Lord showed His mighty hand in Eugene’s
trips to Germany, France, Georgia, Russia and Israel, where
he started close cooperation with church pastors from those
countries. Today Eugene coordinates the branches of the
University in above mentioned European countries.
Eugene lives in Kyiv with his wife Elena and their two sons.

Watching the growth of churches and ministries, it is
obvious that God’s work in Ukraine for years has increased
intensively. It’s clear that revival in Ukraine is unique in
its way, because Lord desires to use Body of Christ in
Ukraine to influence other nations.
Now Church in Ukraine has come through several stages of
formation, and its impact is perceptible not only in
Ukraine, but far away beyond its borders.
In all times Bible educational institutions were a
significant tool in the development of revival, they took a
function to educate and enlighten people in the realm of
Bible education. Any reforms in the society usually went
through educated people, including the area of theology.
At the beginning of 1990s, after the fall of "Iron Curtain"
appeared many favorable opportunities for study. But to get
any Biblical education person had to go outside Ukraine.
Later Bible schools began to open in main cities of Ukraine.
For all that believers always face certain problems that
accompanied them in learning process, as they had to leave
their churches, their cities, their families and friends.
Today the International University of Theology desires to
assist the development of Biblical Educational Institutions
around Ukraine in any Church that is willing to start
Biblical educational institution of any kind on the basis of
their ministry.
Having experience in the arrangement of learning process,
International University of Theology offers help to every
ministry in fulfilling God’s given vision through study.

History
History of Development
International University of Theology “Zoe” is a part of
Covenant Life University (USA).
Covenant Life University (Florida, USA), being involved in
development of IUT “Zoe” in Ukraine, also spreads its
influence in many countries of the world: USA, Mexico,
Guatemala, Belgium, Israel and Russia. Thus for a last year
20,000 pastors and church leaders in Peru started their
training by program of this university.
Over the time of functioning in Ukraine International
University of Theology “Zoe” numbers 11 years of graduates
with degrees Associate of Theology and Bachelor of Theology
– this year the number of graduates will be more than 2,000
students. Since 2001 University has expanded all over
Ukraine and developed up to a national scale. Nowadays in
different areas of Ukraine more than 25 Bible schools
function today using the materials of the University.
Annually the University prepares more than 250 believers who
get trained by a systemized program that was specially
designed for equipping believers for the work of the
ministry, and also about 100 pastors who get trained by a
special pastor’s program.
Besides the coordinating work in the country, main office in
Ukraine assists the arrangement and the development of Bible
educational institutions outside Ukraine.
Over the last years University actively develops partnership
with churches «Spirit of Life» (Nazareth, Israel),
«International Christian Center» (Bremen, Germany), «Fire of
Revival» (Marseilles, France), «God’s Dwelling» (Moscow,
Russia), «Holy Trinity Church» (Batumi, Georgia). Pastors
and ministers of those above mentioned churches get trained
by the materials of this university.
Education
International University of Theology “Zoe” in Ukraine
numbers 11 graduations. Number of graduates is more than
2,000 students. Today believers in different areas of
Ukraine have an opportunity to study by the materials of the
University. Over the several last years International
University of Theology has been cooperating with church from
10 different Christian denominations and unions, staying
open for all who are willing to have Bible education. For
last 2 years the University extended outside Ukraine. We
have schools that use materials of the University in
following countries: Russia, Belarus, Moldova, Georgia,
France, Israel, USA and Germany.
DEGREE PROGRAMS:
Foundations of Bible Education
(1st year of study):
This degree is basic in studying Bible.
Associate of Theology (2nd year of study):
This stage is focused on giving student the extensive
knowledge in the realm of Christian doctrines, preparing him
for the effective Christian ministry.
Bachelor of Theology (3rd year of study):
This degree is given to student who is actively involved in
ministry of their local church during their study. In their
learning process students get knowledge on how to be
effective in ministry and deep knowledge of theology.
Students can be enrolled for that program if they finished 2
years of study in Bible institution and if they have been
working in ministry for at least 2 years.

Diplomas:
International University of Theology “Zoe” is interested in
building Ukrainian Churches, that is why in issuing diplomas
it sticks to the following rules:
• After finishing University every student must practice for
1 year in their local church;
• Every student is obliged to show the reference from the
pastor (leader) of the ministry or church about taken
practice.
During the learning process the University takes
responsibility to closely cooperate with local church whose
members are students of the University.

* Recommendations have to be filled by the spiritual leaders

University of Theology “Zoe” in a sealed envelope prior to

** Students, who graduated from other Bible educational
institutions, have to show the diploma or certificate from
it.
Decision on enrollment for a chosen program is made during
the interview with the Dean. Applicants should have
documents that prove their spiritual education or experience
in a ministry.

3. Studies programs consist of courses that are taken by the
way of CD, DVD and traditional methods. Every month the
academic supervisor will contact main office and get new
materials.

Branches
Church «Fire of Revival» in France
Norayr Ogannesyants, pastor of ‘Flamme d’Eveil’ church in
France (Marseille), was born in Armenia. He got saved in his
earliest years. When he was 17 he moved to Novosibirsk,
Russia to continue his study. There he began to be more
established in church, to study and to grow spiritually.
In 1995 he received a word from God that he would be a
missionary in Europe. And for 7 years God prepared him for
his future mission.
In 2002 he went to Spain while planning to move to France
soon, since he had a word from God that his mission should
start in France, and he would come back to Spain later.
Being in Spain he prayed and fasted for Europe all the time.
In five months he moved to Marseille, France.
Shortly Fire of Flame church was established. Its first
members were ex-homosexual, ex-drug-addict, ex-contract
soldier, one French woman who was always depressed, and
others. Pastor Norayr met some of them in the shelter for
homeless, we he stayed on purpose to tell people about
Christ.
Fire of Revival church was established in 2003. And in 2008
he started a church in Barcelona, Spain (as it was promised
by God).
No matter that pastor Norayr is Armenian and the he lived in
Russia for a long time, today he raised neither Armenian,
nor Russian church, but international. Nowadays about 10
different nationalities are presented in his church.
Pastor Norayr studies at ZOE University and plans to open
the branch of that University in France.
He is the President of the Association «Nouvelle
Renaissance» and a founder of Bible school «Fire of Revival
Carriers» in France and Spain.
Also he organized the monthly pastors’ prayer meetings in
Marseille; it is called “The Time of Sincerity”, and its
purpose is to help pastors from different denominations to
be in unity.
In 2008 he wrote a book «Father, Son and Holy Spirit». In
the near future he plans to publish another books.
Family. Pastor got married in 2005, and today he serves God
together with his wife Ariana. They have a son, Samuel,
(2006) and a daughter Cindy Ariella (2009).
Church Union «God’s Dwelling», Moscow.
Acquaintance with IUT «Zoe» started with a commercial on TV
(on CNL) about study in IUT «Zoe», that interested Vagram
Oganyan, the bishop of the church union «God’s Dwelling» in
Moscow. And since the bishop have already been looking for
an appropriate theological educational institution for
church pastors where they could study without giving up
pastor’s ministry for a long time, so he initially was
attracted by the correspondence program. After looking
through this program, 15 pastors from Church Union “God’s
Dwelling” under the direction of bishop Vagram Oganyan
entered IUT “Zoe” to get the degree Bachelor of Theology. To
present pastor’s program the Academic Dean of IUT “Zoe”
Eugene Taits came to Moscow. After the first meeting warm
and friendly relationships established, and we came into
agreement about carrying on monthly seminars by the teacher
from IUT «Zoe» in Moscow.
From the very beginning pastors were amazed by the
competence of assorted courses, the extensionality and
simplicity of given topics. And monthly seminars with
pastors and ministers opened those topics even more deeply.
All the teachers of IUT “Zoe”, who held those seminars, were
open, good-natured and anointed by Spirit of God. Without
any special efforts we established friendly relationships
with them in the love of God. After finishing Associate
Degree programs all pastors testified about significant and
positive spiritual changes in their lives and thanked God
for IUT “Zoe” and were also thankful to the faculty of the
University. During the learning process some Bible
principles and fullness of the Word of God were opened up
more deeply for all the pastors. Practical instructions and
ideas about the ministry complemented considerably their
previous experience and skills in ministry. The faculty,
programs and forms of study in IUT “Zoe” are assorted in the
best way.
After finishing Associate of Theology program, 15 pastor of
the church union “God’s Dwelling” made decision to continue
their study in IUT “Zoe” and take Bachelor of Theology
program. Besides, pastors of this church union insistently
recommend their church members to study in IUT “Zoe”.
Holy Trinity Church, Batumi, Georgia
Holy Trinity Church was founded on October 17, 1995 in
Batumi, Georgia. Pastor and founder of the church is Varlam
Ramishvili. The church is Protestant Evangelic by its
doctrines and structure. It has daughter ministries in
near-by cities – Kobuleti, Poti and Ozurgeti. The church has
its own Prayer House, where they hold their meetings and
other events since 2002. With many different churches,
missions and charitable organizations inside and outside the
church, Holy Trinity Church actively works at spreading the
Good News and creating the Kingdom of Heaven on the earth.
It is also involved in secular and educational seminars,
meetings and conventions. Holy Trinity Church is a member of
Religious Council of Georgia, established under the National
Defender of Georgia.
Since 2007 the church has been establishing contacts with
the International University of Theology «Zoe». In December
2008 academic dean of the university Eugene Taits came to
Batumi. The Dean introduced university to the congregation,
told about the history, work and plan of the University. The
church expressed the desire to closely cooperate with the
University. We are thankful to the University and to the
dean Eugene Taits for an opportunity to fulfill the Great
Commission of Christ in this world.
Pastor Varlam Ramishvili
Holy Trinity Church
«Spirit of Life» in Nazareth-Ilit is a Russian-speaking
congregation of those who believe in Jesus.
Nazareth-Ilit is one of the biggest cities in the north of
Israel. It is situated in Galilee, not far from historical
Nazareth – place where our Lord was conceived and lived.
Population of that city is 42,000 people, 40% of them are
Jews, who came from former Soviet Union.
In March 1994 pastor Sergey Bocharnikov moved to that town
from Haifa with all his family. For several months they went
to the mountain to pray, and there God gave them revelation
on basis of Ezekiel 37, where God asked the prophet to call
the Spirit of Life onto those dead bodies. It became the
beginning of congregation with a prophetic name “Spirit of
Life” that was opened in November of the same year. From the
day of its foundation congregation is being faithful to
God-given revelation. Those years were not easy, but they
brought a lot of fruit for the building of God’s Kingdom in
Israel. The vision of “Spirit of Life” Congregation is a
salvation of all Israel according to Romans 11:26. All
energies of pastor, his team and the whole congregation are
directed at that. In Romans 11:26 it says that the whole
Israel will be saved. We believe that we are called by God
to fulfill His plan at last days and bring Good News to
every Israelite. Through believers God will breathe in the
Spirit of Life into Israel society, and it will return to
life for Jesus.
Two years ago we started 2 daughter congregations in cities
Afula and Beth Shean. It was a difficult step. Especially
Beth Shean is a very religious city – for the population of
16,000 there are 70 synagogues. Pastor Eliav Levin and his
family experience great opposition from religious Jews. From
time to time cars with loudspeakers go in their neighborhood
and warn people who live there not to have fellowship with
the Levins, to avoid them and to protect children from their
impact. This family is being shadowed all the time. Besides
they harm the pastor’s property – they set on fire pastor’s
cars twice (once time car burnt to ashes), they add sugar to
fuel tank. The owner of house they rent sent letters to the
court, trying to drive them out of house. Besides, many
different outrages pour on them, provocative articles in
newspapers. We pray together and support that young
congregation in deferent ways.
All Israel will be saved! (Romans 11:26) We stand on that
promise. Our purpose is to bring Gospel to every of every
citizen of Nazareth Ilit and nearby towns, and finally – the
whole Israel.
